The business is called the People Team Partnership because I work in partnership and collaboration with you and your team to get done what needs to be done.
My professional expertise comes from:
- 28 years’ of working in HR at various levels – advisor, manager, director and consultant
- For nearly 7 of these years, I was the Head of HR Consultancy for a national law firm working hand in hand with employment lawyers
- For over 3 years I was People Director in one of the fastest growing businesses in the South West
- Experience in a wide variety of sectors, including hospitality and leisure, professional sports clubs, estate agency, manufacturing, professional services, further education colleges
Recent work examples
- Supporting a large FE multi-site College with retained HR support as an extension of their People Team – managing complex ER case work and project support.
- HR Project support lead for several large-scale redundancy projects including collective consultation.
- HR project support lead for various large TUPE transfers in various companies (including 3 in one day!)
- Delivering a People Operations Team resource library for a large telecommunications business to provide People Business Partners with toolkits and resources to manage issues effectively and consistently - preparing them for scale as the business grows.
- Strategic project planning – aligning a 3 year strategic HR plan with key people operations projects
- Providing day to day advice and support on people issues to a busy holiday park and ensuring that they are up to date with new employment legislation
- HR maternity cover for the Head of People & Culture at a professional sports club
- HR maternity cover for the Head of HR with a regional estate agency practice
- Designing a practical action plan to implement the outcomes of a job levelling project
- Production of a pay parity alignment report with recommendations to ensure equal pay across a business
- Developing an action plan to tackle short-term absence issues in a call centre
- Developing a people metrics dashboard for Board reporting
- Conducting strategic business reviews with all teams in a large business to ensure that they were "fit for the future" through an organisational design review and plan to manage any people issues
About my support
My support is not known as “HR just says no”, “the fun police” or “the fun sponge”! My approach is always “How can we best achieve what you want to achieve.”

- Deeds not words - I am not all talk! I give hands-on, practical HR advice and support.

I am based in Somerset but have Clients all over the UK (plus a few clients in Europe and the USA) including recent projects in the South West, Midlands, North West and London, working remotely and in person where I can. I believe it is sometimes important for projects to be on site rather than remote.
Aside from that...
I am a Mum to an extended family of children and pets giving me additional untold expertise in refereeing, conflict management, immediate problem-solving, very late notice project management creativity and complex negotiations! Bath rugby fan (COYB!) and Somerset cricket fan (Somerset La la la!), awesome singer on my own in the car but apparently not so much around others. I love good food and being outside in fresh air, so when not working I am generally out walking the dogs, being a Mum taxi, side-line rugby Mum or eating!
